Galdane Rundt is a trail race that takes you through historic roads in Lærdal, taking place on Saturday, October 15, 2016. During the Galdane - Seltåsen route, you walk on the King's Road from the 1790s and the Bergen Main Road from the 1840s, while passing by high waterfalls, old crofts, myth-laden places, German military installations, and the famous Lærdalselvi river. The journey is also a great experience to share with children.

Highlights

  • You experience the journey best in the tour packages "Kongevegen Autumn Package" and "Kongevegen Highlights."
  • The loop provides you the opportunity to start at Koren or Sjurhaugen, and offers parking options, benches, restrooms, and waste management.
  • The road is marked, cleared, and easily visible, even though the Bergen Main Road is not designated as a royal road route.
